Stage Gating is a structured decision-making model where a proposal, project or program is divided into Stages separated by Gates. At every gate, from early concept through to post implementation, careful consideration is given to the decision for advancement of the proposal, project or program to the next stage.
This Standard represents the minimum requirements that must be met to apply the Stage Gate process on all applicable capital projects that meet the criteria outlined in the Application of Standard section.
