The intent of this document is to develop a clear and consistent risk management approach for incorporation into the Corporate Project Management Framework (CPMF) that also aligns with The City of Calgary’s Integrated Risk Management (IRM) framework. A standardized approach to risk management for capital projects across all business units is expected to contribute to reducing The City’s exposure to project, financial, reputational environmental health and safety, and project/program delivery risks.
This document describes a Risk Management Standard which will provide evidence to support corporate accountability and transparency with regard to project management of The City’s capital projects. It also supports compliance with The City’s policies and procedures, and will assist with audit compliance.
